Health Care Bill Delima Solved

Well here it is. Proof of not only the intent of our founding fathers regarding health care, but a law written and enacted by them that is still in existence. This is nothing short of a precedent for the currently much maligned and debated health care law. Is this good news? For me, anything that helps clear up this debate is good news.

  1. I have never commented on my own post before - but this time I will. In the post I state facts but this comment is just that a comment.

Why - oh why, did these founding fathers not extend this coverage nation wide? Maybe it is because there was no need. Maybe it is because most people living in a community had caring physicians willing to take barter for payment. I am 54 years old and even I remember the time when services were frequently rendered in exchange for other services or goods such as dairy products, vegetables or even live stock. What is clear is that the government recognized the need for a healthy workforce and had no problems with being the provider for that coverage. This health care tax became the first payroll deduction in our nations history. So, Mr. or Ms congressperson. The law that enables the US government to deduct taxes from workers payroll at all, let alone to pay your salary, was preceded by one used for health insurance. Yes, I know that won't stop you from wasting time and money rehashing a law that you do not have a better option for, but at least we will all understand that it is your agenda and not some secret understanding of the the founding fathers.
